教材分析

本课为四年级下册第四单元Unit4 At the farm的第二课时Lets talk,主要句型为What are these? Are these? 以及相应的回答。四年级的学生几乎没有接触过关于农场动物以及蔬菜类的单词, 因此,通过实物展示、创设农场的情境帮助学生学习文本中的单词与对话。

教学目标:

1、学生能够听、说、认读主要单词carrotstomatoes,以及主要句型What are these? Are  these ? 及其相应的回答。

2、能够准确有感情地朗读对话。

3、能够运用所学句型,并在创设的情境中进行对话。

教学重点:

1、 学生能掌握句型What are these? Are these ?及其相应的回答。

2、 能够运用所学句型,并在创设的情境中进行对话。

教学难点

1、学生能够掌握these的正确发音,以及try some等句的理解。

2、学生能运用所学句型,并在创设的情境中进行对话

教具准备

单词卡,句型卡片,课件,草帽,橘子,苹果,犁,胡萝卜

教学过程

Step1 Warming up

1. Sing a song  

“These are apples”

2. Greeting

I am your new English teacher today. Call me Jack.Nice to meet you!

3.Play a guessing game. Touch and guess.

(1) What’s this?     It’s an apple.

What are these?  They’re apples.

(2) What’s this?     It’s a pear.

What are these?  They’re pears.

(3)What are these?  They’re oranges.

4.Eat some oranges with the students.

A:Try some!  They’re good.

B:Thanks. Yum.

5.Show some trees of fruits.

(1)A: Look at these. What are these?

B:They’re ________.

(2)A:Look at these. Are these _________?

B:Yes, they are.

  No, they aren’t.

(3)A:Look at these. Are these _________?

B:Yes, they are.

No, they aren’t.

Step2  Presentation

1. (1)Show some real carrots.

     Students guess.

A:Look at these. What are these?

B:Are these _________?

2.Look the dialogue carefully and tell me.

What are these?  (carrots)

Show the dialogue for the first time and ask the question.

3.(1) Learn the word : carrots

(2) Act the dialogue

  A:Look at these! Are these carrots?

  B:Yes, they are.

  A:Wow! They’re so big.

   A:Look at these! Are these carrots?

  B:Yes, they are.

    No, they aren’t. They’re tomatoes.

  A:Wow! They’re so big.

4. Learn the word : tomatoes

5.We know the tomatoes are red. But in the dialogue, What color are the tomatoes?

Show the dialogue for the second time and ask the question:

A:What color are the tomatoes?

B:They are yellow.

6.Show some different tomatoes

Taste and make a dialogue. Boys and girls,what are these?

(1)A: What are these?

B:These are tomatoes.

A:They are red.

B:Try some! They are good.

A:Thanks. Yum.

(2)A: What are these?

B:These are tomatoes.

A:But they are yellow/purple…

B:Try some! They are good.

A:Thanks. Yum.

5.Read the dialogue.

6.Act the dialogue.

(1) Act with teacher.

(2) Act in groups.

(3) Show time.

Step3  Extension and consolidation.

1.In this dialogue ,the name of the farmer is Alibaba .This is Alibaba’s farm.

This is the vegetable area .

A:Look at these. Are these _________?

(tomatoes,potatoes…)

B:Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.

A:Wow! They are so…( big, nice , long…)

   A: What are these?

B:These are _________.

A:But they are___________ .

B:Try some! They are good.

A:Thanks. Yum.

2. Here are the fruits area and animal area.

(1) Choose one of them ,act in groups.

(2) Show time.

A:Look at these. Are these _________?

B:Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.

A:Wow! They are so… ( big ,sweet, nice ,yummy, long…)

A: What are these?

B:These are _________.

A: Wow!They are___________ .

(2)animal area

A:Look at these. Are these _________?

B:Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.

A:Wow! They are so…( big, fat, tall ,cute, long…)

A:How many ______ do you have?

B:______________.

A: What are these?

B:These are _________.

A: Wow!They are___________ .

3.Sing a song”These are apples”

Step4  Homework

1. Listen and read the dialogue for three times.

2. Act out the new dialogue with your classmates.
