3.       Ss can distinguish the open syllables and closed syllables of the five vowels.

4.       Ss know “give” is the special example in the rules of open and closed syllables.

Purposes

Step 1 Warm-up

1.       Play some songs about phonetics.

2.       Greetings.

通过播放关于语音的歌曲,让学生感知今天上课的内容,快速进入学习状态。

Step 2: Presentation

1.Present the cat

T: Hello, boys and girls. I have a friend for you. Look, it’s a cat.

  Can you say something about it?

Ss: Look at the cat. It’s tall/thin...

   It has big eyes… 

T: Oh, it’s very friendly and cute. I like the cat. Do you like him?

Ss: Yes.

T: So we can say “”We like the cat. It’s cute. It’s cute.

2.Review the sounds of “Aa”

T: The cat has a big phonetic garden. Do you want to have a look?

Ss: Yes./Sure!

T: Wow, it’s so beautiful! What do you see?

S1: I see flowers.

T: Can you read the words on the flowers?

Ss: Cat, hat, fan, bag, dad.

T: Do you find some rules?

S2: They all have the letter “Aa”.

T: Super! And here it sounds /?/ .Can you say more words with the same pronunciation of letter “Aa”?

Ss: Mary, rat, candy, fat, candy hand…

T: What’s in the cat’s hand?

Ss: It’s a cake.

T: The word cake also has the letter “Aa”? Does it sound the same with these words?

Ss: No.

T: It ends with “e”, so it sounds /ei/. Can you list more words?

Ss: cake, make, face, hate, date, name, case…

3.       Review the sounds of “Oo”

T: Wow, it’s a nice flower. Look, what’s the name of this flower?

Ss: It’s a rose.

T: Look at the word rose. It has the letter o, and it sounds /?u/. Can you list more words with O sounds /?u/?

Ss: Nose, Coke, home, hope, Mr Jones…

T: Look, this is Mr Jones. Gua, gua, he see a frog.

Read the word frog.

T: In the word frog, it also has the letter O. Do they sound the same?

Ss: No.

T: Here O sounds /?/. Look, the frog has many babies. Who are the babies of the frog?

Ss choose the words with O sounds /?/.

T: How about the word got?

Ss read the word got and use the sentence patter: He’s got..

T: Look at the cat. He’s got a cake. He’s got a cup of milk.

He’s got a cake and a cup of milk.

4.Review the sounds of “Ii”

T: The frog can jump. Can you jump?

Ss: I can jump.

T: Pay attention to the word I , it sounds /ai/.

T: Now let’s find the words sounds/ai/.

Ss: Like, kite, ice, rice, five, nine.

T: Now let’s jump with Super Mary and get the apple.

T: Now we got it. So Super Mary can say “Give me the apple.

T: Think about the word give. What does “i” sound here?

  Ss discuss with their partners.

T: Yes. In give, I sound /i/.  It is special. Please remember.

T: Can you jump on the words with I sound /i/?

Ss: Big, milk, it, six, pig, give.

4.Review the sounds of “Ee” and “Uu”.

T: What color is the apple?

Ss: It’s red.

T: e here sound /e/. Please read the words on the red apples.

Ss: Bed, get, men, let., we, he she…

T: Where is this apple?

Ss: It’s under the tree.

T: Can you spell under?  Under , u sounds /∧/. Read the words with the letter Uu.

Ss: Cup, mum, us, cute, excuse…

T: Wow, so many apples. Can you group them.

Ss group the words according to their sounds.

以书本中的图片任务出发,复习以往单元中关于人物描述的句子,从而引出chant中的句子。以旧带新,让学生利用正迁移,掌握更多的知识点。

 

 

 

 

带学生进入语音花园,进入今天的复习内容。

 

 

 

先复习字母Aa的开闭音节发音,带学生回忆,进行比较,自己找规律,发挥自主学习的能力。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

在花丛中,发现另外一种花,玫瑰花rose,从而进入到另一个字母Oo的开闭音节发音。

 

 

 

 

用小蝌蚪找妈妈的方式让学生复习字母Oo的开闭音节发音。换一种有趣的方式,吸引孩子们的注意力,让他们不至于觉得语音很乏味。

 

 

 

 

 

 

He’s  got 这个句型出现在课本中的chant中,为了学生更好地掌握 chant。单独拎出这个句型让学生进行操练。

 

 

 

用跳石头的方式复习字母Ii的开闭音节的发音。让学生操练chant 中的句型Give me…也让学生感知give是特殊的情况,一举两得。

询问苹果的颜色red, 很自然地过渡到字母Ee的开闭音节复习。层层递进,所以同时复习两个字母,并让学生以摘苹果的方式,进行分类。

Step 3: Practice

T: You all did a good job. Now open you book to P60.

1.       Read, listen and circle.

2.       Listen and chant.

3.       Group and write.

回归课本,让学生听一听,跟一跟课文里面的歌谣,让学生拿出笔来做一做听力,让所学知识做个总结。

Step 4: Homework

1.       Read the chant 5 times.

2.       Find more words with letters of Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, Uu in their open and closed syllables and group them.

作业是课堂教学的自然延续和补充,是巩固、掌握和深化课堂所学知识必不可少的手段的有效途径。

Step6: Blackboard Design
